Housing Associations rent out flats and houses, usually cheaper than
private landlords. Most are not-for-profit charities, although some have
commercial divisions which also rent at the full market rate or build property
for sale. |

There is a selection of Associations in East Lothian, some offering specialist
housing for the elderly or disabled, but with a large number of general
use properties for rent as well. |
In total there are around 2000 Housing Association properties in East
Lothian, as compared to just over 8000 Council Houses. You will find links
