Housing Associations rent out flats and houses, usually cheaper than private landlords. Most are not-for-profit charities, although some have commercial divisions which also rent at the full market rate or build property for sale.

There is a selection of Associations in East Lothian, some offering specialist housing for the elderly or disabled, but with a large number of general use properties for rent as well.
