The Community Housing and Property Management (CHPM) service, which is a division of East Lothian Council's Department of Community Services, rents just over 8,000 houses.
The service headquarters are at Penston House in Macmerry (01620 826600) and there are 6 local area offices in the four main housing areas into which East Lothian is divided.

There are a number of specialist teams within the CHPM service, for example Housing Strategy & Development Services is responsible for producing the Local Housing Strategy and works with Planning to help identify the need for housing locally. It develops housing policy and it assists with grants for owner occupiers. More information about specialist teams can be found here.
There is a page with useful leaflets and forms but please note that you will need to contact an area office to obtain a housingapplication form - as these are not available on-line.
