East Lothian Youth Dance Company (ELYDC) has strong links to Brunton Theatre with performances on stage twice a year and opportunities to work with dance companies performing at the theatre.

ELYDC comprises young people from throughout the East Lothian area. The company meet weekly and the participants have opportunities to develop dance skills and devise new dance pieces with support from a professional dance tutor.

In addition to performing at the Brunton Theatre, the company has been invited to perform on a number of occasions at youth festivals in venues throughout Scotland including macrobert in Stirling and Livingston’s Howden Park Centre.

ELYDC also receives discounts on tickets for selected dance performances at Brunton Theatre and opportunities to see dance companies perform at other venues.

Entry to the Company is by audition for boys and girls aged 13 - 21 who live in East Lothian.
Previous dance experience is preferable though not essential.
