What services our Criminal Justice team provide
Social work services in the criminal justice system involve:

supervising offenders in the community

supervising people leaving prison on licence

providing reports to Courts, as an aid to sentencingproviding

reports to Procurators Fiscal to aid decisions about alternatives to prosecution

providing reports to the Parole Board, to aid decision-making about early release from prison
-
providing assistance to witnesses and other people attending court
-
supporting the families of prisoners
-
supporting victims of crime.
