Let's Not Waste East Lothian
row of green bottles

Let's not waste East Lothian is the campaign being run by East Lothian Council to make it easier for everyone to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle their household waste.  During 2007-2008 we recycled 35.4% of our waste- over a third of all waste collected by the Council was recycled rather than sent to landfill- keep up the good work!

There are three elements to Let's not waste East Lothian:

Reduce

Reuse

Recycle

Check these out to find out what they mean and what you can do to help.

Home Composting Offer
To help you compost at home East Lothian Council, in partnership with WRAP (the Waste & Resources Action Programme), are now providing compost bins at a reduced price to East Lothian residents.
Four sizes of composter are available, so you can choose one to suit your circumstances, and prices range from £6 to £25.  More information and pictures of the composters can be viewed by opening the WRAP Offer document to the right.  Compost bins can be ordered by calling 0845 077 0756.
