For One Night Only - Longniddry Library Becomes the Oxford Bar!
On 19th March 1987 Knots and Crosses, the first Rebus novel, was published.  To celebrate 20 years of this popular series East Lothian Library Services ran a competition to suggest ways for Rebus to spend his retirement.

Alison Cosgrove won the competition with an imaginative new career for the music mad detective.  You can find more information on the evening, see the library as a bar, read Alison's winning entry and another given special mention by clicking here.
