Archaeology Workshop

The East Lothian Museum Education Service organises a range of activties and events for schools, organised groups, and the general public.  All are FREE to East Lothian educational groups.

Activity Sessions
Bring the museum to your school by arranging for the Museum Education Officer to come and deliver an activity session. Choose from the range of loan boxes on offer or enquire about other subjects - the Education Service may be able to provide workshops for alternative topics.

5-14 Loan Boxes
The education service can offer schools and organised groups the chance to borrow objects and resources from the museum collections for classroom project work. Normal loan periods are up to two weeks but can be extended if requested.

Museum Visits
The Education Service provides activity workshop sessions for schools and other organised groups at East Lothian Council Museums.

Free Downloadable Resources
You can download pictures, worksheets, presentations and other resources at our dedicated Museums Service education website. See http://www.eastlothianmuseums.org/content/pages/education-and-access.php.

For more details about our educational activities, and how we can assist your teaching, please contact our Museums Education Officer, Sarah Cowie, on 01620 828225, or email her at scowie@eastlothian.gov.uk.
