Food

Food can be considered within two separate headings, namely Food Hygiene and Food Standards.

The Food & Safety team carry out routine inspections of all food premises, including restaurants, shops, hotels, manufacturers, etc for both food hygiene and food standards. Investigation of complaints relating to unhygienic conditions, unsafe handling practices, or wrongly labelled food is carried out.

Anyone interested in starting a new food business should contact the Food & Safety Team at an early stage.
