Improvements approved for Musselburgh properties
Improvement works approved for Musselburgh properties

A £160,000 contract to refurbish and repair four council properties in the Pinkie area of Musselburgh was approved today (11 November 2008) at East Lothian Council's Cabinet meeting.

The four properties in Pinkie Avenue, Musselburgh are existing flats which have not been available for occupation for various reasons. The refurbishment work will bring all four properties up to a suitable standard to be returned to the council's housing stock.

Cllr. Stuart Currie, Cabinet Member for Community Housing & Property Management, said: “This work will give us four more properties to rent. The pressures for affordable rented accommodation in the county are immense and the availability of these properties early in 2009 will make a small but much welcomed addition to our housing stock.”
